2004 | Treasure Island + The Wonderful Wizard of Oz | Great Classics for Children | 2 Hardcover Bundle
Two beautifully illustrated children’s adaptations of classic literature from Dalmatian Press’s Great Classics for Children series. This bundle includes Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, both in coordinating hardcover editions with gold detailing and illustrated covers. These editions were specifically adapted to make classic stories more approachable for younger readers while keeping the adventure, characters and major storylines that made the originals beloved.
Treasure Island is condensed and adapted by Nancy Fletcher Blume, while The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is condensed and adapted by Suzi Alexander. Both are illustrated throughout and make a really pretty little starter set for a child’s classics shelf, homeschool library or read aloud collection.
