Volume One, The Book of Beginnings — 1953
Begins with Genesis and the earliest Bible stories.
Volume Two, Mighty Men of Old — 1954
Continues with Jacob, Esau, Joseph, Moses and other Old Testament narratives.
Originally created as part of a larger illustrated series covering the Bible from Genesis through Revelation, these early volumes are especially charming for their vivid full-page artwork, colorful illustrated margins and classic 1950s design. They make wonderful reading copies, homeschool resources or decorative vintage books for a children’s shelf. The original publisher specifically promoted the series as being adapted for boys and girls, with color illustrations appearing throughout.
Good vintage condition. Both hardcover volumes have intact bindings and clean, bright interior pages. Covers show light surface wear, rubbing and marks consistent with books that are more than 70 years old. Illustrations remain vibrant. Please see photos for exact cosmetic condition.
