458,57 kr SEK (plus tax)

A beautiful three volume partial set from The Works of Edgar Allan Poe, published by Harper & Brothers in New York and London. These are part of a larger multi volume Poe collection and include:

Volume 3 | Tales
This volume contains Poe’s fiction and short stories, including the dark, psychological, gothic style he is best known for. If you love eerie atmosphere, suspense, strange characters, and classic horror, this is the volume that feels most recognizably “Poe.”

Volume 8 | Miscellaneous
This volume focuses on Poe’s essays, commentary, criticism, and other nonfiction style writings. It includes pieces like A Chapter on Autography, giving a completely different look at Poe beyond his famous stories and poems.

Volume 9 | Miscellaneous
Another collection of Poe’s miscellaneous prose and writings, offering more of his literary commentary, observations, and lesser known work. This volume is especially interesting if you want to read Poe as a thinker and critic, not just as a writer of gothic fiction.

The books are bound in matching green cloth with ornate decorative spines, gold lettering, and illustrated frontispieces. Together they make a beautiful shelf set even though they are not a complete collection.

Condition: Antique condition with visible age related wear. Green cloth covers show rubbing, fading, edge and spine wear. Gilt decoration remains visible. Pages are age toned with scattered foxing, spotting, and some staining to the front matter. Illustrated frontispieces are present. Please review photos carefully for condition.
