Published by Houghton Mifflin in 1959, this is the third revised edition of Anthology of Children’s Literature by Edna Johnson, Evelyn R. Sickels and Frances Clarke Sayers. 

At more than 1,200 pages, this is much more than a simple story collection. It brings together an enormous range of traditional and classic literature for children and also includes material on storytelling, the history of children’s literature, notable illustrators, book awards and graded reading lists. The illustrations throughout make it especially fun to flip through, and it would be a beautiful resource for a homeschool library, literature study or vintage children’s book collection. 
Condition: Vintage used condition with visible age related wear to the blue cloth cover, including rubbing, fading and worn corners and edges. Pages show normal age toning. Binding remains intact.
