1947 | The Little Golden Book of Hymns | Elsa Jane Werner | Corinne Malvern
A wonderfully nostalgic early Little Golden Book filled with traditional children’s hymns, prayers, and songs, paired with charming mid century illustrations by Corinne Malvern. Songs include Jesus Loves Me, Away in a Manger, God Is Love, The Creation, We Thank Thee for the Night, and many more. This is the 1947 Simon and Schuster edition, and the back cover still advertises Little Golden Books at 25¢ each. A lovely piece for a vintage children’s library, Little Golden Book collection, or religious book collection.
Condition
Fair vintage condition. Heavy visible wear to the covers and spine, rubbing and edge wear, age toning and spotting, and a previous owner’s name written inside. The binding and pages show their age but the book remains readable and the illustrations are still beautiful. Please review photos closely for condition.
