2016 The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me | Roald Dahl | Illustrated by Quentin Blake
A wonderfully silly Roald Dahl adventure about Billy and the very unusual crew he discovers living inside an old building: a giraffe, a pelican, and a monkey who run the Ladderless Window Cleaning Company. Before long, Billy is swept into a funny, fast moving adventure involving an eccentric duke, stolen jewels, and plenty of Dahl’s signature imagination. Quentin Blake’s illustrations are scattered throughout, making this a great choice for kids beginning to move into longer chapter books while still wanting lots of pictures.
