2005 The Night Before Christmas | Christian Birmingham Illustrated Hardcover | 6th Printing
A beautifully illustrated edition of Clement C. Moore’s beloved Christmas poem, The Night Before Christmas, featuring the rich, atmospheric artwork of acclaimed children’s illustrator Christian Birmingham.
Originally titled A Visit from St. Nicholas and first published anonymously in 1823, Moore’s poem became one of the most enduring Christmas traditions in children’s literature. This oversized hardcover edition pairs the familiar verse with Birmingham’s full-page illustrations, filled with snowy nighttime scenes, warm interiors, reindeer and a wonderfully traditional depiction of Santa Claus.
This copy is the Running Press Anniversary Edition. Christian Birmingham’s illustrations were originally copyrighted in 1995, while this particular Running Press edition was first issued in August 2005. The number line identifies this copy as a sixth printing.
Condition: Pre-owned hardcover in good condition. It has some normal exterior shelf and handling wear, particularly around the cover edges/corners, but the interior presents very nicely. The original $4.98 retail sticker remains on the front cover.
