1963 Tino and the Typhoon by Alice Geer Kelsey First Cadmus Edition

CHF 5.09

Set in the Philippines, Tino and the Typhoon follows a young boy whose ordinary life is suddenly transformed when a violent tropical storm threatens his village. As the typhoon closes in, Tino is forced to face danger, uncertainty, and the responsibility of helping those around him. The story blends adventure with a vivid look at village life, family, community, and what it means to be brave when circumstances are completely beyond your control.

Written by Alice Geer Kelsey and illustrated by Isami Kashiwagi, this is the 1963 first Cadmus edition, published by E. M. Hale and Company by arrangement with Longmans, Green and Co. The story was originally copyrighted in 1958. It is the kind of vintage children’s adventure that feels very different from modern books, simple, atmospheric, and centered on resilience, resourcefulness, and community during a real natural threat.
