1962 | The Children’s Bible | Golden Press | Illustrated Old & New Testament Hardcover
A beautiful vintage illustrated children’s Bible from Golden Press, originally published in 1962. This substantial hardcover retells stories from both the Old and New Testaments and is filled throughout with large, detailed color illustrations.
The book covers major Biblical stories from Creation, the Garden of Eden, Noah, Abraham, Moses and David through the life and ministry of Jesus. The full page artwork is what really makes this edition special and gives it that classic mid century Golden Press feel.
A lovely vintage copy for a home library, religious collection, homeschool shelf or anyone who loves older illustrated children’s books.
Condition
Vintage used condition. The hardcover shows noticeable age related wear, rubbing and bumped corners, especially along the edges and spine. Pages show normal age toning but remain readable and the illustrations are still bright. The blank presentation page is unused. Please see photos for the exact condition.
Age range
Approximately 6 to 12, although it also works well as a family read aloud or collectible illustrated Bible.
